SeaWorld Orlando is a theme park, and marine-life based zoological park, in Orlando, Florida. It is owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, a subsidiary of The Blackstone Group. When combined with its neighbor Discovery Cove and Aquatica, it forms Seaworld Parks and Resorts Orlando, an entertainment complex consisting of the three parks and many neighboring hotels and eateries.
In 2010, SeaWorld Orlando hosted an estimated 5.1 million guests, ranking it the ninth-most visited amusement park in the United States.[2] However, SeaWorld's owners have challenged the estimated figures in the past; in 2007, the estimate was 5.8 million guests, while the park's internal data, normally not released to the public, was closer to 6.2 million guests.[3] A spokesperson for then-owner Busch Entertainment Corporation disagreed with the report, saying, "They are wrong across the board.

Penguin Encounter, an indoor exhibit that also includes puffins and murres. The exhibit closed January 4, 2012 to make way for the Antarctic Area reportedly called "Antarctica: Empire of The Penguins".

“Eternally appealing”, this International Drive “family destination” has “a little bit of everything”, from “entertaining shows” and “awesome coasters” to “wonderful” “up-close” animal encounters and some of the “best sea life exhibitions on the planet”; “staffers never tire of answering questions” and the “calm, civilized environment” is another plus, so fans deem it a “perfect escape.”

Sea World has something for everyone. I love taking my child to see the different kind of water animal. As adults getting to ride the ride and so forth has been great. Their themes are right on for the occasion. Their food on the other hand needs improvement.

Park "opens" at 9am, but no animal exhibits until at least 10. But you can buy stuff until then. Long lines getting in, security bag check? Park is small, everyone going to same place at once. Everything marketed to little kids. Shark tunnel not worth it. No big sharks and there was a loud alarm going off the entire time :( There was no one there to tell or to ask questions. No polar bears at Wild Arctic :( Person said they "walked around" the entire exhibit and that you just had to look for them??? SeaWorld should be upfront about which animals/exhibits are available. NOT worth the price of admission

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park, formerly known as the San Diego Wild Animal Park, is a 1,800 acres (730 ha) zoo in the San Pasqual Valley area of San Diego, California, near Escondido. It is one of the largest tourist attractions in San Diego County. The park houses a large array of wild and endangered animals including species from the continents of Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Australia. The park is in a semi-arid environment and one of its most notable features is the Africa Tram which explores the expansive African exhibits. These free-range enclosures house such animals as antelopes, giraffes, buffalo, cranes, and rhinos. The park is also noted for its California condor breeding program, the most successful such program in the United States.
The park, visited by 2 million people annually, houses over 2,600 animals representing more than 300 species, as well as 3,500 plant species.[4]
Depending on the season, the park has about 400 to 600 employees. The park is also Southern California's quarantine center for zoo animals imported into the United States through San Diego.
The park has the world's largest veterinary hospital. Next door to the hospital is the Institute for Conservation Research which holds the park's Frozen Zoo.
Both the park and the San Diego Zoo are run by the Zoological Society of San Diego. The park is 32 miles (51 km) away from the zoo, at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road east of Escondido, California, along California State Route 78.

Good zoo, well tended animals with plenty of space. Like the San Diego Zoo, a little too much emphasis on birds. Zoo layout is somewhat difficult - many interconnected loops, often require you to retrace your steps to get to the next section. "Natural" enclosures make for very poor views for children in strollers. In one area, the designated viewing was literally at the bottom of a 5 foot tall earthen wall. As an adult, I could barely see over. There are many places like this, or with nearly solid wood railings, that require constantly getting kids out of strollers to hold them up to see.
